Cheers! ISCO’s Autocrat Coffee Syrup Bourbon is Now Available
The delicious collaboration brings together two distinctly Rhode Island brands.

Rhode Islanders’ favorite childhood before-bed drink is now in the unique position of becoming our favorite adult nightcap. Starting today, October 8, the Industrious Spirit Company’s Autocrat Coffee Syrup Bourbon is available for purchase a limited time not only at their cocktail bar and bottle shop in Providence but also at select retail locations across Rhode Island.

As with all of ISCO’s spirits, the bourbon has been handcrafted with the utmost care and attention to detail to ensure a delicious, authentic product. The company placed its organic corn-derived, four-plus year bourbon in Autocrat coffee syrup-coated whiskey barrels for many months, resulting in a unique, layered coffee character. Additional tasting notes include smoky dark caramel, dark cocoa and oak, with just a hint of sweetness. While it can be thoroughly enjoyed as is on the rocks, ISCO also suggests getting creative with a spiked Rhode Island Cabinet or a Coffee Milk Old Fashioned (and just swap the simple syrup for a splash of Autocrat).
“We always love a good collaboration, and as lovers of Coffee Milk and our home state, this project was an extra fun one,” says Eric Olson, Director of Distillery Operations at ISCO. “Whether we’re working with local farmers or local coffee syrup producers, we see ourselves as not just distillers but as custodians of the unique flavors that both inspire us and make us think of home.”
Meanwhile, Autocrat, which was first established in Lincoln in 1895 and has delighted locals ever since, is excited to further build upon its connection with the community.
“What ISCO has created feels both nostalgic and completely new. They’ve taken a flavor Rhode Islanders know incredibly well and found an unexpected way for people to experience it,” says Art Lopez, Vice President of Marketing at Finlays Solutions, which owns the Autocrat brand. “That’s the kind of collaboration we love—one that respects where a brand came from while finding new ways to keep it relevant.”
The 750 ml bottle of Autocrat Coffee Bourbon is bottle at 84 proof and can be yours for $49.99 a pop. You can also celebrate its launch tonight at ISCO’S “Cabinet of Curiosities: An Evening of Rare Spirits & Syrupy Elixirs” from 5–10 p.m. Held at its cocktail bar on Sims Ave. in Providence, the event will center Ocean State nostalgia and the magic of coffee milk, transforming into a vintage curiosity parlor of antique coffee tins, historic Autocrat bottles, and small “museum” moments telling the story of the Autocrat brand. Wright’s Dairy Farm will also be on hand as the official milk and coffee milk partner, providing both classic and bourbon-spiked cabinets.
