YES Closes its Doors

I was sad to read (via Facebook — news travels crazy fast that way) that Yes Gallery + Studio in Warren is closing up shop at the end of this month. The art gallery, housed in a super cute historic space on Water Street in Warren had built up quite a following, thanks to an ever changing assortment of pretty damn cool contemporary visual works — a good chunk of it by local and regional artists. Owner Leigh Medeiros not only has a good eye but a good heart: 5 percent of proceeds support nonprofits. So Leigh is having one last hurrah at the gallery this Friday December 4th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., an opening featuring recent works by Jim Bush (he works in acrylic, watercolor and ink , and his cartoons have appeared in the ProJo).

If you still need motivation, Leigh’s recent Twitter post may do the trick: "If you don’t make it Friday night we’ll be overrun with cheap wine. Please save us from ourselves!"
