Doctor: Dr. Megan Daley McMahon

Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

Hospital Affiliations: WI

Why did you choose medicine as a career?

It is the perfect blend of science and service. It is personally gratifying while hopefully in some small way allowing me to contribute to the lives of others.

Was it something you always wanted to do from childhood?

The inkling was always there. My parents were the owners of a small town mom and pop pharmacy so I grew up witnessing first-hand the way people deserved to be treated.

Why did you choose your particular specialty?

OBGYN is a unique opportunity to care for women in arguably the most meaningful parts of their life. Whether it is a time of joy or sadness it is still a complete honor.

If you could be or do anything else for a day what would it be?

Believe it or not I wouldn’t. I think I have the best job in the world.

What are your other interests? What do you do for fun?

I enjoy spending time with my family and being on my family farm. We have goats, they are my favorite!
