Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12. Show appreciation for mom with a family brunch or dinner at a local restaurant, or you can set up a hotel overnight or take her on a boat tour of the Providence River.

1. Bettola

Bettola, the new restaurant from the owner of Basta, is hosting a buffet-style brunch for mom on Mother’s Day with two seatings at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For $30 per person, guests will enjoy a spread of Bettola’s specialties. Every meal comes with one bloody Mary or mimosa, but if you want to go bottomless, it’s just $10 more. 2. Blithewold’s Mother’s Day Tea

Sit down for tea service with mom in Blithewold’s beautiful surroundings from 3 to 4 p.m., then explore the gardens. The tea includes your beverage of choice, freshly baked scones with sweet cream and a three-tiered tray filled with sweet and savory treats. 3. Bluefin Grille at the Providence Marriott

Franco Paterno, Bluefin Grille’s executive chef, is cooking up something special for Mother’s Day brunch. His extensive menu includes paprika seasoned potatoes, grass fed roast top sirloin, Venda five-cheese ravioli and more. Finish up with a choice of desserts, like lemon cream shortcake or homemade chocolate bread pudding. 4. Castle Hill Inn

Treat mom to a three-course brunch this year in the Dining Room at Castle Hill Inn. Chef Lou Rossi will be preparing a special menu, including a duck confit, Maine lobster hash, slow-cooked beef sirloin and spring vegetable gnocchi, among other options, from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Listen to some live music while you lunch, all for $52 per person. 5. Chapel Grille

Chapel Grille presents a new a-la-carte menu for Mother’s Day, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Start with a selection of soups and salads like New England lobster-clam chowder or baby arugula salad, then move on to regional oysters and local littleneck clams at the raw bar. 6. The Crowne Plaza Hotel

Looking for a full buffet? The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick will have a Belgian waffle station, international cheese display, carving stations, seafood station and more at the Mother’s Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meal is $37 for adults, $34 for seniors and $22 for children between the ages of four and fourteen. 7. The East End

The East End will be doing a Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the patio will be open, weather-permitting. 8. Easy Entertaining

Easy Entertaining is hosting its annual Mother’s Day Brunch buffet. There are three seatings at 9 a.m, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each seating will allow one-and-a-half hours to one-hour-and-forty-five minutes for guests to dine and enjoy. The per guest price will allow access to all tasting tables. Beverages may be added on a la carte. The cost is $39 per adult guest, and $19 for children ages five to twelve, with a separate menu for children younger than five. Take a look at the menu here. 9. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar

Fleming’s is serving a three-course brunch, starting at 10 a.m., and an all-day dinner menu for Mother’s Day. For brunch, start with Caesar salad or lobster bisque, followed by a choice of eggs Benedict ($51 with sliced filet mignon, crab cake or surf and turf)), spring vegetable quiche ($51), barbecue Scottish salmon ($51) or filet and lobster ($65) with key lime pie or carrot cake for dessert. 10. Gurney’s Newport Resort and Marina

11. Harbor Lights

Take in the scenic view of Warwick Neck during Mother’s Day brunch at Harbor Lights from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The venue will have endless food options, including a salad and antipasto station, fruit and pastry display, French toast station, omelet station, carving table and dessert table, along with the buffet. 12. Hotel Viking

Celebrate Mom with an overnight stay at Hotel Viking in Newport – including complimentary breakfast and Champagne. Or treat her to brunch at the hotel’s restaurant, One Bellevue, including a carving station with roast prime rib, au jus and honey glazed ham, a raw bar with fresh clams, oysters, shrimp, crab claws and mussels and an omelet station. MainSail, located inside the Newport Marriott, will serve Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 12. Guest will enjoy a made-to-order omelet station, carving station and dessert selections. The price is $49 for adults, $20 for children ages twelve and younger. 14. Mill’s Tavern

Treat mom to a selection of specialty cocktails, including a spring cider sangria and a strawberry elderflower mimosa, and enjoy a special Mother’s Day menu at Mill’s Tavern. The dinner menu, available from noon to 7 p.m. will include crispy Roman artichokes, Wagyu New York strip and an eight-ounce filet mignon. 15. Ocean House

Ocean House, a historic hotel in Watch Hill, is hosting several Mother’s Day events, including a children’s tea, a buffet and lunch. Children can celebrate with their mothers at a whimsical Mary Poppins tea on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Seaside Ballroom. Enjoy Ocean House’s signature tea, complete with cakes, snacks and desserts, for $55 per adult and $35 per child ages four to twelve. On Sunday, reserve a table at the buffet by calling 401-584-7000. 16. Providence River Boat Company

Give your mom a fun-filled day with a tour of Providence’s beautiful waterways. The fifty-minute cruise launches from the Fox Point Marina and goes down the Providence River, Riverwalk, Waterplace Park and Providence Harbor. Although the tour is family-friendly, complimentary prosecco will be served to all adults, ages twenty-one and older, or BYOB in a small cooler. 17. Red Stripe Restaurants

Celebrate mom this year with a brunch buffet at Red Stripe Restaurants from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The prix-fixe meal is $32 per person and $15 for children twelve years old and younger. Enjoy a variety of breakfast staples like scrambled eggs and French toast or fill up on beef bourguignon and shrimp risotto. 19. Wright’s Farm Restaurant

Wright’s Farm Restaurant is serving up its home-cooked chicken dinner early on Mother’s Day; from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Bring everyone together with a family-style meal at the iconic Rhode Island establishment. Start with fresh-baked rolls and salad, then move on to all-you-can-eat pasta with homemade sauce, chicken or a fourteen-ounce sirloin steak.
