Richmond Elementary School Winter Vendor and Craft Fair @ Richmond Elementary School
Nov 17 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Richmond Elementary School Winter Vendor and Craft Fair @ Richmond Elementary School | Richmond | Rhode Island | United States

Each year, for the last three years we have been putting on a vendor fair! It’s a great way to get the community together and support local crafters, many of which are family members of our students.

Make your holiday shopping lists and plan to come hungry! More than seventy vendors, food trucks, community groups, and Matthew’s Wish (a local organization spearheaded by a young man’s wish to provide toys and items to children in need).

Each day we highlight our vendors, crafters, food trucks, and our community groups who will be attending.
This is a great family event and there is a little bit for everyone.

Books Are Wings’ Gift of Literacy Campaign Kickoff Reception @ Machines With Magnets
Nov 21 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Books Are Wings’ Gift of Literacy Campaign Kickoff Reception @ Machines With Magnets | Pawtucket | Rhode Island | United States

Give the gift of literacy by supporting Books Are Wings all year long!

Join us and other Books Are Wings donors for this year’s Gift of Literacy Campaign Kick-off Reception. The evening will include a cash bar, delicious bites, and the chance to meet other supporters of literacy in Rhode Island. Join Books Are Wings staff, volunteers and community partners as we celebrate the season and our commitment to community empowerment through building the libraries of local families. This campaign will provide funding for Books Are Wings’ core mission of putting free books in the hands of children. Every child in Rhode Island deserves access to books in their home and to be excited about books and reading.

This annual campaign runs from November 21 through December 31. The funds raised throughout the campaign support Books Are Wings’ mission to put free books in the hands of children during the holiday season and all year long.

Generously sponsored in part by IGT, Bristol County Savings Bank and Amica, this fundraiser will help support the advancement of Books Are Wings’ programs.

Proceeds from this event directly support Books Are Wings and its mission to put free books into the hands of children. This critical mission is driven by efforts such as Books All Year, an intensive citywide effort that brings the organization into the classrooms of partner schools; Books Spots, which stocks designated indoor and outdoor structures with children’s books all year long; and Book Request, which provides free books for community events.
