This series of classes will introduce children ages three to five to art projects which will allow them to express their creativity while stimulating their other senses. These tactile projects will encourage children to use all modes of their creativity.

Children, ages two through four with parent or caregiver, will investigate the world around them as they sing, dance and discover in this monthly series! Takes place the first Monday of each month, October through June, at 9:30 am. Each session will contain age-appropriate stories, songs, poems and a craft related to the topic. Expose your preschool child to science and culture in a unique and stimulating museum setting!
Pre-registration preferred but drop-ins are welcome.
Programs will be ongoing throughout the year.
Class sizes are small, and registration is first-come, first-served.

Boys Town New England’s Inaugural ‘Racing for the Roses’ Charity Soiree will feature a Mint Julep and Cocktail Bar, Kentucky Derby-themed Menu by Blackstone Caterers, His & Her Hat Contests, a Whiskey & Wine Grab and a Silent Auction. The night will conclude with a Live-Stream Telecast of the Derby.

Net proceeds from this event will benefit ‘Lft Together with Boys Town,’ a preventative Community Support initiative serving the most vulnerable children of Pawtucket and Central Falls.

Scout Safari Night includes animal enrichment making, owl pellet investigation, keeper talks, animal encounters, conservation carnival, worm composting and seed planting, tours of the John J. Palumbo Veterinary Hospital, mad scientist lab, a commemorative Scout Safari Night patch and more! All while completing a variety of badge requirements.
Participants can also take part in a service project by collecting items for our animals wish list.

Rise and Play: Sensory Friendly Mornings in Our Big Backyard
Join us for an hour of nature play before the zoo opens: designed for families who have a child with sensory sensitivities, come and play in Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard from 9 to 10 a.m.
Build mud pies, watch boats float downstream and climb high in a treehouse. Limited to seventy participants, this hour will allow you and your family to spend time playing in nature, in a smaller group of guests.
Try something new: Imagination playground, a large-scale building toy, will be available for guests to use during this time. This amazing play material allows you to create tall towers, build ramps and create cities, all at your own pace.
The Nature Swap room will be available with books and carpet squares for families who need a quiet space during the event.
Dates: 2nd and fourth Saturday of each month, May – September
(May 9, May 23, June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, August 8, August 22, September 12, September 26)
Time: 9 – 10 am
