But before Whiteside can enter the house, he slips on a patch of ice outside the Stanleys’ front door and injures his hip. Crankies: An Evening of Puppetry and Storytelling @ The Collaborative
Dec 13 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

occasional appearance of shadow puppets appearing through an illuminated scrolling screen. Fahey’s crankies tell of myths from far off lands as well as hidden down home family secrets. One will have you swimming the depths of ancient oceans while the next will have you laughing in the face of death itself. Come join us on an intimate and magical journey inside the box!

Good Friday @ Helen Forman Theatre, Rhode Island College

Good Friday @ Helen Forman Theatre, Rhode Island College | Providence | Rhode Island | United States

America finds itself in ruins after a devastating bombing. 200 years after this attack, a town by the lake begins to thrive and flourish by devoting their loves to God and Jesus. By crucifying at least one sinner to God every Good Friday, they hope to have not only a good harvest, but pure water. These sacrifices, however, are more problematic than the people of Lake Jordan know.

Rhode Island mOnthly Presents Odeum Classic Films: It's a Wonderful Life @ Greenwich Odeum | East Greenwich | Rhode Island | United States

Join us for an annual Odeum tradition – It’s a Wonderful Life!

George Bailey spends his entire life giving up his big dreams for the good of his town, Bedford Falls, as we see in flashback. But in the present, on Christmas Eve, he is broken and suicidal over the misplacing of an $8,000 loan and the machinations of the evil millionaire Mr. Potter. His guardian angel, Clarence, falls to Earth, literally, and shows him how his town, family, and friends would have turned out if he had never been born. George meant so much to so many people; should he really throw it all away?
