Adam Ezra Group @ Greenwich Odeum
Nov 23 @ 8:00 pm
Adam Ezra Group @ Greenwich Odeum | East Greenwich | Rhode Island | United States

It’s difficult to impart the roots-steeped, road-trippin’ essence of the Adam Ezra Group into a single word, but frontman Adam Ezra nonetheless keeps one in mind as something of a mantra: community.

Community is epitomized by a belief that has long doubled as a mission statement for the group: namely, that making music together is itself a form of grassroots organizing, capable of nothing less than changing the world.

For their most recent release, Hurricane Wind (2017), the AEG fanbase turned the full power of its collective hurricane wind outward, and shared the music for free with over 5000 people over the course of two weeks. Such a groundswell of activity wouldn’t have been possible even a few years ago; “Hurricane Wind,” to AEG, represents both a celebration and reaffirmation of how remarkably that community has grown.

A tireless touring outfit, the Adam Ezra Group (AEG) is constantly on the road, often devoting their time to local charities and always going out of their way to connect with fans. They are creating a powerful, inclusive community around AEG shows that is beginning to be compared to a social-movement as much as a traditional music fan-base.

Tickets to this event include an additional $5 Historic Restoration Fee which assists in restorations and repairs of the Greenwich Odeum. When purchasing tickets online, an additional $2 convenience fee per transaction will be applied. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Blackstone River Theatre: EILEEN IVERS BAND @ Blackstone River Theatre
Nov 23 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Grammy®-Awarded and Emmy-nominated, Eileen Ivers continues to push the fiddling tradition boundaries from a folk music staple to a powerfully beautiful and intensely driving world stage experience. Eileen was the groundbreaking musical star of Riverdance, a founding member of Cherish the Ladies, and she is one of the most awarded All-Ireland Fiddle and Banjo champions ever. Eileen’s most recent CD, “Beyond the Bog Road,” focuses on the influences of the Celtic tradition on Roots music (bluegrass, French-Canadian, Cajun, Appalachian, Americana) and how the music journeyed on to become a fundamental ingredient of the American Country music tradition. Irish Music Magazine called it “a triumph … a musical Magnus-Opus” and the album reached number one on the Alt-Country Roots Music Chart. Eileen’s new joyous and passionate band, Universal Roots, connects music, cultures, stories and emotions that tie us together …celebrating the fact that we are more alike than dissimilar. The ensemble features Matt Mancuso (lead vocals, guitar, trumpet, fiddle), Buddy Connolly (button accordion, whistles, piano, vocals), Lindsey Horner (upright and electric bass, baritone sax, vocals), Dave Barckow (lead vocals, percussion, guitar), joining together with Eileen on fiddle, mandolin, banjo, bodhran, and live looping. Not to be missed!

*All ticket prices include a $1.00 per ticket restoration charge

The Ultimate Van Halen Tribute- Completely Unchained @ Courthouse Center for the Arts
Nov 23 @ 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm
The Ultimate Van Halen Tribute- Completely Unchained @ Courthouse Center for the Arts | South Kingstown | Rhode Island | United States

Who doesn’t love the way Van Halen rocked the world from 1978 to 1984? They had it all, including the best guitarist on the planet. A lead singer with the biggest personality in our Solar System. A bass player who laid down the law on bass while singing pristine harmonies over the top. And a drummer who kicked everyone’s butt. They created some of the best tunes ever heard on the radio and they all smiled those big smiles while doing it. Every show was a huge party and it just felt good.Completely Unchained are four talented and creative musicians that re-create the ultimate Van Halen production – the attitude, sounds, excitement, energy and most of all the fun that Van Halen produced as one of the best rock bands in the world. Starting off by reproducing the very best of the original line up, then merging the “Van Hagar” era with some David Lee Roth solo hits, completes a whole catalog of the greatest hard rock songs ever recorded.Completely Unchained takes the concept of a tribute band and raises it to a whole new level. Not only do we recreate the music with unsurpassed skill, but the stage energy and the production at a Completely Unchained show is unmatched. No one else brings the entire package together like Completely Unchained. Come to a show and judge for yourself.
