Providence Junior BayCamp with Save the Bay @ Save the Bay Center

Children who love the water and adventure will love Save The Bay’s week-long summer camps right on the waterfront in Providence. Save The Bay’s week-long BayCamp for children who have completed kindergarten and first grade promises hands-on, Bay-centric activities that are as much fun as they are educational. Headquartered at the Bay Center at Fields Point, Junior BayCamp blends age-appropriate marine science and environmental education with shoreline fun. Inside the classrooms, campers interact with the marine life that call Narragansett Bay home, through touch tanks and counselor-led crafts and games, while the rocky shoreline of Fields Point gives campers the perfect place to explore critters and natural habitats nearby, building valuable knowledge about the Bay’s natural beauty, resources, and what they can do to help preserve it.

Yoga for a Cause @ South Kingstown Land Trust Barn
Aug 18 @ 9:00 am

SKLT has teamed up with MoonBear Yoga for a summer yoga benefit series. Noreen McGill, SKLT member, registered yoga teacher, and MoonBear Yoga creator is hosting a series of yoga classes with all proceeds going to SKLT. McGill, who led similar yoga classes last year, said she enjoys “sharing her passion for nature and her dedication to the well-being of our community to support the SKLT mission to conserve and protect the natural resources and open spaces of our town for the enduring benefit of our community. The Barn provides the perfect setting for our practice. We can sense the love of the benefactor for the land and experience the natural beauty and serenity of the fields as we engage in our practice in this welcoming and expansive environment.” MoonBear Yoga raises funds to benefit non-profit organizations by sharing McGill’s practice of yoga. Join us – every Saturday, 9 a.m., June 16 through August 25 – for yoga at the SKLT Barn, at 17 Matunuck Beach Rd. Suggested donation $10. All ages and levels are welcome!
