Designing by the Seasons: A Floral Arranging Series @ Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum

In this workshop series, we will create arrangements showcasing what is blooming in the gardens. The workshops will encourage designers to become more familiar with flowers’ bloom times, and each class begins with a quick survey of the gardens, watching as they evolve throughout the series. Participants will then create unique seasonal arrangements of gorgeous flowers sourced from Blithewold and other local flower farms to take home.

Drop in for one class or join us for all four! Full series: $200 members, $220 non-members; Individual class: $55 members, $60 non-members.

Providence Junior BayCamp with Save the Bay @ Save the Bay Center

Children who love the water and adventure will love Save The Bay’s week-long summer camps right on the waterfront in Providence. Save The Bay’s week-long BayCamp for children who have completed kindergarten and first grade promises hands-on, Bay-centric activities that are as much fun as they are educational. Headquartered at the Bay Center at Fields Point, Junior BayCamp blends age-appropriate marine science and environmental education with shoreline fun. Inside the classrooms, campers interact with the marine life that call Narragansett Bay home, through touch tanks and counselor-led crafts and games, while the rocky shoreline of Fields Point gives campers the perfect place to explore critters and natural habitats nearby, building valuable knowledge about the Bay’s natural beauty, resources, and what they can do to help preserve it.
