StyleWeek Providence is Finally Here!

O-M-G. StyleWeek Providence is finally upon us! In case you’ve been living under a rock the past couple of months, let me fill you in: StyleWeek is a brand-new event taking place all next week in the capital city, showcasing designers from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and beyond. Some are pretty well known (like Jonathan Joseph Peters, a Woonsocket-born designer who competed on the most recent season of "Project Runway") and others are just getting their careers off the ground, but all promise amazing collections. There will be daily runways shows at venues across the city, followed by after-event soirees at local hot spots. Sadly, the runway shows are invitation-only, but the after-parties are open to the public. Go and you’ll be able to chat with featured designers and watch a replay of the runway show that just took place.

Organizers are hopeful that the success of this year’s StyleWeek will cement it as a yearly (maybe even twice yearly!) event. Either way, it will definitely put Providence on the fashion-world map.
