Sewage Soiree

Hundreds of Save The Bay supporters turned out to the Foundry for “The Bay Bash: The Light at the End of the Tunnel.” Partygoers (treated to tunes by ska and reggae band The English Beat) celebrated the completion of the Combined Sewer Overflow Project, a tunnel system that captures runoff and raw sewage otherwise bound for the bay. The event raised $180,000 to protect and restore Narragansett Bay and its watershed.
