R1 Indoor Karting Entertainment Center will open Fuel Restaurant and Sports Bar to the public on Thursday, February 1, starting at 7 p.m. The eatery adds a dining dynamic to the venue with its urban chic atmosphere located right above the R1 Indoor Karting Center.
Fuel, designed by Dutch designer Hans Snoeijen, boasts twenty-five-foot ceilings, brick walls and large windows for guests to watch the karting action below. The space features a full-service bar, a restaurant and VIP room that accommodates 450 people. The restaurant menu will provide options such as bacon-wrapped dates, brick oven pizzas, chicken wings and quinoa salad. Several large flat screen TVs, white bowling lanes and two billiards tables make it a great place to unwind with friends and family.
Edmond Leidesdorf, one of the owners of the Collyer Entertainment Center building that now houses Fuel, says in a press release, “Our complex is already home to some of the best family and corporate entertainment in the market, including indoor karting, rock climbing, batting cages, paintball, laser tag, arcades and more. We are absolutely thrilled to add an incredible bar and restaurant, along with bowling and billiards to that growing list of fun activities we provide here.”
There’s also plenty of space for private parties and corporate events. “We hope to utilize our entire entertainment center for corporate and other types of events year round and have built various party packages to accommodate parties of ten to over 400,” says Derek Emery, director of operations for Fuel. “Fuel’s VIP room can accommodate up to 200 people for private corporate events, along with smaller parties who wish to enjoy our bowling lanes, billiards or karting for birthdays, bachelor parties and more.”
Fuel is located on the second floor of R1 Indoor Karting at 100 Higginson Avenue in Lincoln, and the hours are Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday from noon until 1 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
