PawSox to Become Pawtucket Hot Wieners

The team will change its name for one game only on August 16.

A hot wiener all the way and a glass of coffee milk, please. Ah, the music to every Rhode Islanders ears. The Olneyville New York System’s delectable late-night bite is the inspiration for the Pawtucket Red Sox name change…for one night only.

Root for the home team against the Durham Bulls on August 16 as they take the field in a one-time jersey that pays tribute to the Rhody classic. The front of the navy jersey features a neon sign reading “Pawtucket Hot Wieners,” while the baseball cap showcases a wiener dog in a flaming bun logo.
