Local Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day

From jewelry to bath products, here are some ideas to help you shop local for mom this Mother's Day.

Alexys Ryan Inspirational Jewelry

The perfect gift of jewelry says something about the woman wearing it. This Mother’s Day, choose a bangle or necklace embellished with Swarovski crystals that describes your mother and her fierce determination. Alexys Ryan is a local jewelry company that is empowering women through its inspirational accessories. Bangles are bedecked with the powerful messages like “endurance — stronger than you think” and “balance — wear all hats.” And necklaces feature symbols that represent breaking free, tranquility, friendship and more. This is the first direct-to-consumer collection from East Providence-based LDC, which creates designs for top retailers. Executive vice president Jennifer Brousseau and director of sales Alexys Garrepy — who are also sisters-in-law — created the fashion jewelry line in response to changes in buyer trends and retail marketing. The jewelry is available locally at Papillon Jaune Salon in Providence, Salon Couture in Bristol, Bead Sting in Coventry and Eloquence Jewelry in East Greenwich, as well as Tickles in nearby Swansea, Massachusetts. alexysryan.com
