A Guide to Shopping in East Greenwich

We break down all the best stops on Main Street.

Nestled virtually in the middle of the state, East Greenwich’s charming, scenic Main Street is an ideal spot for strolling, shopping and eating local on a sunny summer afternoon. And while there’s a wealth of places to see and things to do in this friendly little community, here are some of our can’t-miss stops.

Get: Sweet treats for your furry friends at Bone Appetit; a nautical sweatshirt or tote bag from Bags by Iris; a designer gown from Zuzu’s Petals; a custom suit from Blueprint 5; fine home accessories from the Green Door; a unique antique from Lola’s Vintage Closet; some classic jewelry and vogue fashions at Consignors! Designer Retail; and some eccentric treasures and gifts from the Troll Shop.

Try: The Quiche of the Day and a cup of the Organic Italian Roast coffee at Main Street Coffee; Fried chicken and waffles or jambalaya at Dante’s Kitchen; a prosciutto, pesto and poached-pear grilled cheese with a side of roasted tomato soup at Red Stripe; bolognese grilled pizza or a 12 oz. steak carbone at Fresco; linguine alle vongole at La Masseria; an Atlantic sushi roll at Kon Asian Bistro; or an 8 oz. sweet potato salmon dish and a hand-crafted martini at the Grille on Main.

Do: Watch a live show at the historic Greenwich Odeum; get a massage and/or facial at Shimmer Salon and Day Spa; have your nails done at Naturally Nails; see more than fifty musicians perform at the “Music on Main Street Stroll” and enjoy tastings from the above-mentioned eateries and more during the “Taste of East Greenwich Stroll” (see events calendar on page 73 for dates).
