Get Experienced

I had the pleasure of making my second appearance on the “Rhode Show” this morning to give brides- and grooms-to-be another taste of what to expect at this weekend’s Wedding Experience.
Today, Sarah Faella — designer, hair stylist and make-up artist extraordinaire — showed off some of what she’ll be demonstrating during her seminar this Sunday. Ladies, Sarah is wonderful and it’s so much fun to watch her do her thing. I sat in this morning while she prepped her model (a real bride-to-be) and was lucky enough to get my own Sarah Faella make-up touch-up before the show (thanks Sarah!).
Sarah is headlining one of three interactive seminars we have planned. In case you missed her on yesterday’s “Rhode Show,” Polly Hutchison of Robin Hollow Farm in Saunderstown will talk about plant favors and offer some ideas for reception centerpieces. Jonathan Joseph Peters of "Project Runway" fame and StyleWeek Providence will also host a seminar on styling and bridal fashions. As if that wasn’t enough, Jonathan and our friends at StyleWeek Providence are staging two high-end fashion shows during the event. (For a sneak peek of what’s in store there, watch tomorrow’s “Rhode Show.”) The seminars will be staggered so attend one or attend all three. If you’d rather just browse through at your own pace and speak one-on-one with the various vendors, you can do that too.
Sunday’s event isn’t your average wedding show; it truly will be an experience for those who attend. Live music, dancing demonstrations, food and cocktail sampling, wedding vendors, seminars, thousands of dollars in prizes (hello king bedroom set, would you like to come home with me?), horse-drawn carriage rides: Really, what more do you need?
We’ll see you this Sunday from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. at Crowne Plaza in Warwick.
