Friends in Need
More than 250 supporters of the St. Edwards Food and Wellness Center turned out at the Roger Williams Park Casino for “Celebrate the Arts,” the organization’s annual fundraiser. The cocktail reception included a silent auction of works by local artist Angelo Rosati and a raffle that helped bring in upwards of $75,000 for the nonprofit. St. Edwards, which is run strictly by volunteers and supported through donations, provides food, medical services and clothing to 1,000 needy families in the North End of Providence.
