Every year, AAA Northeast awards area restaurants and hotels with AAA Four Diamond Awards for being the best of the best. For 2018, there are five AAA Four Diamond Award restaurant recipients in Rhode Island, including Spiced Pear Restaurant, the Dining Room at Castle Hill Inn and the Vanderbilt Grill – all located in Newport – as well as Gracie’s, the only AAA Four Diamond Award  recipient in Providence, and Coast at the Ocean House in Watch Hill.

“Just 2.1 percent of the 31,000 AAA-inspected and approved restaurants receive the Four Diamond designation,” says Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for AAA Northeast. The Diamond ratings are used by travelers across the country to find the best places to dine.

The properties will be honored at a luncheon at the Newport Marriott on Feb. 28.
