Dropkick Murphys at Bold Point Park

For the first time ever, American Celtic punk bands, the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, will be co-headlining a tour that has been twenty years in the making. They are set to perform all over the United States with just one stop in little Rhody. The Dropkick Murphys recently finished their St. Patrick’s Day tour and Flogging Molly just wrapped up their Life Is Good Spring 2018 tour, performing songs off their latest album, Life Is Good. With summer in full swing, it’s the perfect time for a little bit of mayhem with New England’s favorite Celtic punk rockers.

Incredible Bollywood 2

Last year, hundreds of people gathered to watch the Incredible Bollywood show, which was performed by Dance BFF (Bollywood Fusion and Fitness). This year, they’re back with Incredible Bollywood 2 and a brand new theme: Legends of Bollywood. Over 100 performers will come from all ethnic backgrounds and ages ranging from four to fifty-five. The performance is one of a kind, showcasing the evolution of Bollywood dance and style from its very beginning to the present. Some of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the West Warwick High School Theater program.

Field of Artisans

Since summer 2015, the Field of Artisans, and original collaborative, has been providing artists, photographers, builders, designers and musicians with a place where they can form a community, sell their work and network with other artists. Each of their pop-ups is different and typically includes some type of demonstration or class. Head down to the ocean and spend the day taking in the beautiful sights of artistic masterpieces.

Secret Garden Tour

Looking to trance through a bloomed field of flowers and other flora? There are plenty of gardens for you to tour this summer! The Secret Garden Tours in Newport take you through some of the most beautiful properties and gardens around the city by the sea. All proceeds of the tours go to funding art education and cultural programs in Aquidneck Island’s public schools.

Block Island Music Fest

For six nights, Captain Nick’s Rock n’ Roll Bar will showcase over forty local, undiscovered artists from every genre imaginable. Admission is free and food is too, as long as supplies last. Every night there will be performances on both the Sunshine Stage outside the venue and the main stage inside. After eighteen years of success and great memories, the Block Island Music Festival is sure to still provide everyone who goes with a truly unique and exciting experience. After 9 p.m., attendees must be twenty-one and older.
