Festival Ballet Providence is Searching for a New Canine Cast Member

Archie, the Nutcracker pup, is retiring.

Archie, Festival Ballet Providence’s beloved Nutcracker dog, has been prancing across the Providence Performing Arts Center stage for the past nineteen years. After more than 125 performances, Archie is turning in his life of fame for one of luxury and long naps. Now, Festival Ballet Providence is looking for their next four-legged star.

Does your pup have an elegant prance, a regal coat of fur and a charming smile? Does he or she light up the room? Can [they] roll with professional ballet dancers and handle the paparazzi?

If you answered yes, bring Fido to Festival Ballet Providence studios during the Hope Street Holiday Stroll on Sunday, December 2 from noon to 2 p.m. See if your furry friend has what it takes to become the next Nutcracker dog for performances in December 2018 and beyond. Pre-registration is not required. Participation is free and open to any and all canine applicants.
