Exploring Warren
I heart the Warren Walkabout. And not just because of the lovely alliteration or because I happen to call the town home. The annual event is great opportunity to celebrate a creative little town that — not everyone realizes — has a ton going on. In five hours (the WW runs from noon to 5 p.m.), you can get a pretty good handle on the town’s proverbial pluses: a vibrant arts scene (artists will fling open their studio doors so you can poke around); great shops (The Wooden Midshipmen, Modern Printed Matter, Muse, Dish, to name just a few); solid restaurants (Stella Blues, the Cheese Plate); and even a fabulous farm to buy a home-grown gourd for smashing (Frerich’s Farm hosted the giant pumpkin weigh-off last weekend).
In addition to self-guided tours, trolley rides, live music, artisan demos, and sidewalk S-A-L-E-S at many of the stores, there’s also a Taste of Warren from noon to 3 p.m. Enough with the pitch! We’ll see you all there.
There’s no official website, but you can see some information here.
