1/31–2/2 Monster Jam
Why: Monster Jam Triple Threat Series roars into Providence for an adrenaline-charged family fun day. The event showcases drivers as they go head-to-head in seven different competitions, driving three different vehicles — Monster Jam trucks, speedsters and ATVs — while racing, doing doughnuts, wheelies and more.

Through 3/1 Ice Skating at Gurney’s
Why: Skate by the sea with uninterrupted views of beautiful Narragansett Bay. Then, warm up inside and grab a bite to eat off the Apres Skate menu, with options including cheese fondue, chili cornbread, spiked cider and more. Guests who “donate to skate” by bringing a piece of clothing for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rhode Island receive complimentary skate rentals.

1/18 Owls and Ales
Why: Meet some of Audubon’s amazing birds of prey while sipping locally brewed beers. Then take a guided walk through the refuge at night to look and listen for owls and other signs of animal life. Be sure to bundle up for chilly winter weather! Guests must be twenty-one and older to attend the event.
