Weaver Library Farmers Market
41 Grove Ave
East Providence, RI 02914
The 2019 Weaver Library Farmers Market invites you to an exciting opening day with great food, Azorean cookbook author Maria Lawton, and lively music! Meet our new farmers and vendors and enjoy seeing and talking to our returning ones. They will be selling veggies, fruit, eggs, cheese, chicken, fish, pickles, cookies, pies, coffee, honey, granola… getting hungry yet?
Need a quick dinner for Thursday night? Pop’s All Beef Hot Dogs will be serving hot dogs, sausages and more.
Keith Munslow and the lively and popular Superchief Trio will be providing the music today so bring the whole family, preferably in their dancing shoes.
Meet staff and volunteers from the Childhood Lead Action Project. Since 1992, the Childhood Lead Action Project has worked to eliminate childhood lead poisoning through education, parent support and advocacy. Lead poisoning is still a serious risk in Rhode Island, and is 100 percent preventable.
Every week through September 12, the Weaver Library Farmers’ Market will welcome customers using SNAP/EBT, WIC, Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons, and credit or debit cards. Thanks to a grant from Farm Fresh RI, SNAP customers can double their SNAP in 2019! For every dollar you swipe with EBT, you’ll get a free dollar in Bonus Bucks for buying fruits and vegetables.
