Family, Influenza and the Armistice - 100 Years @ Arnold Mills Community House | Cumberland | Rhode Island | United States

Free Program! The Spanish Flu and the First World War – both were decimating the people of the United States one hundred years ago. Please join the Beacon Pole Hill Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution for a discussion of the connections between the Influenza of 1917-1918 and the WWI Armistice. Many families lost members to one or both of these events. What happened to your family in 1917-1918? Refreshments will follow. Presenter: Cheryl Alger, Beacon Pole Hill Chapter Treasurer.

Public Welcome.

Donations of a non-perishable food item for the Northern Rhode Island Food Pantry are most welcome. Their greatest need is protein sources, such as canned tuna/meat or peanut butter. Thank you!
