The Pawtucket Dog Park Committee once again presents the annual Dogapalooza Family Festival. This two-day outdoor “country fair” style event is a must see for all locals and those visiting our city. Jam packed with fun events to both watch and participate in, it’s a great family event for all ages.

The event takes place rain or shine on Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4 at the parking lot area next to the Carousel and Dog Park, within Slater Park in Pawtucket. There will be vendors of all types of products from jewelry to candles, pet items and household décor. There will be non-profits present sharing their message and some with pups and cats for adoption. Come register to vote in the 2020 election at the Board of Canvassers booth or take a chance at the many raffles and contests at the Committee Tent.

Speaking of the Committee Tent, you can take part in one of our contests or fun events. On Saturday, you could be a finalist in our Apple Pie Baking Contest. Or try the Chocolate Pudding Pie Eating Contest on Sunday, which is open to all ages! If you have a pup and want to show them off in a creative way, why not enter our Canine Costume Contest on Sunday as well? Also, you can vote on our photo contest entries, take chances at the Penny Social booth and raffles at the Committee Tent. Or you can just play around and take selfies at our Selfie Booth! Make sure you fill your tummy at one of the many food trucks that will be here such as Mamitas, Len’s Haven, Crepe Corner and a few more to be announced.

During all the fun events, we have live entertainment! On Saturday enjoy the rock sounds of local bands All Over and Before The Storm. On Sunday, the sounds of RI Country Music Hall of Fame winners, Branded will fill the air, followed by the local talents from the School of Rock in South Attleboro. So bring a chair or hang out at the Pavilion and enjoy the shows!
