Diner’s Update

Brian Kingsford, who headed the kitchen at Al Forno for the past decade, is opening his own restaurant, Bacaro, this month at the
former Neath’s location. The restaurant will feature a wine bar and a full-service dining room with open kitchen, and offer seasonal Italian fare with local ingredients. 262 South Water Street, Providence, 751-3700.

The 11th Annual Nantucket Wine Festival will be held at the Nantucket Yacht Club on May 16–20, 2007. Events include The Winemakers Symposia, Celebrity Chef & Winemaker Auction Dinner and The Grand Tasting, at which 150 of the world’s most celebrated wineries pour their wines. Chris Farrell is leaving Oak to open Coupe 64 with Mimi Colluchio. The restaurant is located in the former Plaza Grille space on DePasquale Square. Prix-fixe tastings of moderate size and price will feature fresh ingredients, and offerings will change weekly. They are serving dinner and weekend brunch in the spring and will extend their hours in summer.
