Big Accolades for Cat Country
Cat Country won the 2013 CMA Award for large market station of the year.
A tip of the hat and yeehaw to the Providence-based radio station, Cat Country 98.1. Brian, Amanda, Loren and the rest of the team took the 2013 Country Music Association's award for the best large market station of the year.
Filled with justifiable "cattitude," the team announced the win today over the airwaves during the 7 a.m. time slot. The station was up against some big competition, too: KAJA in San Antonio, Texas; WFMS and WLHK in Indianapolis, Indiana; and WQDR in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
Keep an eye on the red carpet for our local winners on November 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC. The forty-seventh annual Country Music Awards is hosted by country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, but Cat Country already got a spoonful of stardom with their winning video from the Band Perry.
