Advertising Sales Account Representative
One of Rhode Island’s only locally-owned statewide media companies is looking for a new member to join their small, but mighty team. We’re searching for a driven, hard-working, organized, creative, solution-seeker with sales experience, preferably in media / advertising. The successful candidate will be articulate, energetic, motivated, results-oriented and client-focused, with strong written and verbal communication skills, a good work ethic and a demonstrated ability to exceed their sales goals. Experience using a CRM is also a plus.
The successful candidate will develop new business across all of our print, event and digital offerings, including Rhode Island Monthly magazine, our specialty titles targeting the tourism, bridal and home-owner markets, our digital products, our specialty events and our growing custom publishing division. They will also service an existing account base.
We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running, ideally with a minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the Rhode Island market.
Responsibilities to include proactively prospecting, qualifying and selling and servicing new advertising accounts. This will include preparation of proposals/marketing solutions, processing ad materials, managing client receivables etc, while building and maintaining successful long-term relationships. This position offers a base salary commensurate with experience, and a commission structure, in addition to a generous benefits package.
