A Stylish Reason to Sip Champagne On a Thursday Morning
The theme for this year’s Angela Moore Fashion Show and Champagne Brunch is "Fashion through the Decades."

It’s time to plan your summer’s best outfit for the annual Angela Moore Fashion Show and Champagne Brunch. The Newport social event is happening on July 9 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the historic waterfront mansion, Rosecliff, and stylish women and men from near and far will get an exclusive look at classic looks recreating the style of fashion icons as well as the latest collection from designer Angela Moore, who will emcee the event. Vintage attire, and summer styles from Moore, Manuel Canovas, Just Madras and Jack Rogers will be modeled by Newport’s fashion elite and local television personalities.

The theme for this year’s runway show is "Fashion through the Decades," celebrating the seventieth anniversary of the Preservation Society of Newport County. Proceeds from the event will support the organization’s mission to preserve and protect the best of the area's architectural, decorative arts, landscape and social history.
The show will pay tribute to timeless icons who have influenced American fashion through the past several decades, including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Twiggy and Brigitte Bardot. Models will dress up as the icons in vintage and classic outfits that are on loan from Trinity Repertory Company. Garments will include everything from the little black dress to a ball gown worthy of Newport’s social scene, plus modern-day resort wear highlighting today’s updated styles from Angela Moore, Manuel Canovas, Just Madras and Jack Rogers, which can also be purchased in Newport’s retail shops.

As part of the event, guests will gain access to a one-day-only exhibit featuring the Preservation Society’s fashion archive, spanning the last seven decades and including looks worn by Doris Duke as well as vintage Pucci, a 1960’s Oscar de la Renta maxi dress donated by Mrs. Marion Oates Charles and a Givenchy cocktail dress donated by Mrs. Topsy Taylor.

Have your picture taken on the red carpet staircase of Rosecliff and then enjoy drinks on the terrace, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, before proceeding to the ballroom for the seated fashion show and brunch.
Admission is $90 for Preservation Society members and $100 for non-members. Tickets include the fashion show, champagne brunch, a $25 Angela Moore gift certificate and an exclusive package ticket to tour The Elms. To purchase tickets online, visit newportmansions.org or call 401-847-1000 ext 140.
