25 Places to Party on New Year's Eve

Ring in the New Year at one of these NYE local events, parties and dinners from Providence to Newport to Westerly and everywhere in between.

1. BoOgie Night 2016

Ogie’s Trailer Park is tearing down 2015 in style starting at 9 p.m.. DJ's Ty Jesso and John O' Leary will be spinning, and there will be go-go dancers and a Champagne toast at Midnight. Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 the day of the party. Stop by the bar daily, starting at 4 p.m. to buy tickets.

2. Parties at Providence G

The Providence G is ready to celebrate the New Year with three different venues hosting events. The GPub will throw a full pig roast ($35 per person) starting at 6 p.m. including many different side dishes and there are also sixty-six different beers available. Deejays will spin from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and there is pool and karaoke (reservations required in advance) available for entertainment. Tickets to the deejay portion of the night are $20 per person. Upstairs at Garde de la Mer, there will be a three-course dinner ($75 per person including choices like Arctic char, lobster polenta and top sirloin) with electronic music provided by Arc Iris. Seatings are at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. At Rooftop at the ProvidenceG, guests will enjoy a dessert buffet and specialty cocktails while dancing under the stars to jazz performer Katie Kleyla of the New Providence Big Band. The party takes place in the heated glass-enclosed space from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and tickets are $50 per person.

3. Ocean House New Year's Eve Gala

This New Year's Eve, travel around the world without ever leaving Ocean House. The celebration will include sweet and savory treats inspired by cuisine from around the globe. This black tie event is the most lavish of the year, so dress to impress and get ready to dance the night away! Enjoy live entertainment, complimentary cocktails and a wellness station to help keep you on your toes all night long. Tickets are $175 each, including tax and gratuity. 4. New Year’s Eve Dinner at birch

New Year's Eve at birch in Providence will include a multi-course dinner with optional beverage pairings as well as an a la carte drink menu. Tickets are on sale now and are $125 per person which includes tax and gratuity. Beverages are to be selected and paid for the night of the event. 6. New Year's Eve at Chez Pascal

Celebrate the end of 2015 with a three-course dinner at Chez Pascal in Providence. Choose between shellfish chowder with smoked lardo, slow-roasted coppa of pork with mincemeat stuffing and much more for $69 per person (not including beverages, taxes or gratuity). 7. New Year's Overnight Celebration at Castle Hill

Make it an overnight at Castle Hill Inn. Book the NYE package and you’ll be welcomed with a bottle of “bubbly” in your room upon arrival. On the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, Beverage Director Anthony Boi will host a Champagne tasting, followed by a screening of the 1954 film classic Sabrina. On New Year’s Eve night, you’ll soak up an evening of dinner and dancing, then make your way to the dining room the next morning for the New Year’s Day Hangover Brunch, featuring an artisan Bloody Mary bar (Bloody Mary Bar not included in the cost of the package). 8. DeWolf Tavern with Pat McGee

DeWolf Tavern in Bristol has a few seats left for the Fine and Dandy New Year’s Eve event with musician Pat McGee. The night includes a full open bar from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., multiple carving stations and buffets, desserts, Champagne toasts and a night of live music for $150 per person. 9. Local 121 Dinner and Party

Ring in the New Year at Local 121 with a seated four-course dinner plus an entertainment lineup later in the evening with DJ acts the Music Please and Culture Club. Dinner reservations can be made between 5 and 10 p.m., and dishes include Atlantic crab and smoked fish kimchi salad, Hudson Valley foie gras torchon, Bomster scallops, butternut squash cannelloni, Fava Family Farms saddle of rabbit, Porterhouse steak and Maine lobster pot pie for two. The cost per guest is $70, and wine pairings are available. 10. Ella’s Fine Food and Drink dinner and party

Ella’s in Westerly is featuring an a la carte menu for New Year’s Eve starting at 4 p.m. Then at 10 p.m., Ella’s will host an evening with cocktails, appetizers, Champagne and party favors in the lounge for $50 per person. Call 401-315-0606 for reservations.

11. Cook and Brown dinner

12. Jamestown FiSH dinner

Jamestown FiSH is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner, including five courses for $75 per person, with wine pairings for an additional $75 per person. Menu selections are also available a la carte. Call 401-423-3474 for reservations.

13. Gracie's candlelit dinner

Gracie’s is hosting an intimate, candle-lit New Years Eve dinner. This year, things will be low key and romantic, as they’ve been inspired by peace, love and harmony! 14. Crowne Plaza Party

The Crowne Plaza in Warwick is throwing a New Year’s Eve party that includes a dinner buffet and cash bar for $70 per person or $140 for two people. Or you can just go for the entertainment portion of the evening for $60 for two tickets. The band Steve Smith and the Nakeds will perform and there’ll be a Champagne toast at midnight. 15.  Providence Downtown Marriott's Diamonds and Ice Celebration

Your party package for two includes admission for two to the event, plus an overnight stay, cocktail reception (cash bar), dinner and a Champagne toast, plus a party in the Grand Ballroom. 16. New Year's Eve Regency Gala on Goat Island

Spend the evening on Goat Island where the beauty of the bay surrounds you. Dinner will be served in the grand ballroom followed by live music from Those Guys and dancing from 9 p.m.−1 a.m. Enjoy a plated dinner at 8:30 p.m., which includes a Newport salad of fresh berries, pears and candied walnuts, and an entree choice of prime rib with horseradish au jus or roasted chicken (a vegetarian option can also be substituted), followed by a dessert buffet and coffee. 17. The Charlestown Rathskeller

The restaurant invites guests to celebrate New Year’s Eve with dinner reservations, followed by music from a deejay in the tavern starting at 10 p.m. There will be a two-hour limit on tables, and guests are welcome to join the party afterward with a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Comedian, radio personality, best selling author and actor Jim Norton will do live stand-up at the Comedy Connection on New Year’s Eve for two shows at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Norton has guest-starred on "The Tonight Show," "the Late Show with David Letterman," "Louie" and "Inside Amy Schumer," plus he is co-host of "The Opie with Jim Norton" on Sirius XM Radio and he has three one-hour comedy specials on Hulu. 20. One Providence New Year's Eve Ball

Join the first annual One Providence New Year's Eve Ball at Rhode Island Convention Center. The evening starts at 9 p.m. and includes live music, dancing, desserts, more than $10,000 in giveaways, beverages and late night bites. Entertainment will be provided by Project 401, Wayz and Means Band, DJ RM, Salsa y Gaitas and surprise performances throughout the night. 21. 2016 Leagues Under the Sea

The theme for this bash is 2016 Leagues Under the Sea at Aurora, and you've been asked to dress for the occasion: sailor suits, vintage blue and green gowns or mermaid costumes, if you please. It will be like attending an underwater ball with live jazz by New England's finest Gypsy Jazz ensemble, Minor Swing, and dance routines by the vintage dance company, the TropiGals. The event will be emceed by Lulu Locks and there may be additional surprise performances. General admission (mermaid) tickets are $40 per person. A table for four is $300 and a table for six is $500. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the show begins at 10 p.m.

22. New Year's Eve and Two-Year Anniversary at Rogue Island

Celebrate New Year’s Eve and two years of business with Rogue Island Local Kitchen and Bar from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. The celebration includes appetizers, a raw bar highlighting Rhode Island shellfish as well as local craft beer, spirits and wine. A local DJ will provide entertainment for the night and there will be a Champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $30 each online (plus fees).

23. See Legends in Concert at Foxwoods

You can brag to all your friends that you spent New Year's Eve with Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Bette Midler and Steven Tyler. Well, kind of. Legends in Concert features the very best star impersonators out there, straight off the Las Vegas strip. There are shows available now through Jan. 2, with New Year's Eve shows happening at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Not only do these live performers look exactly like the real deal, but they sound like them too. The shows feature theatrical sets, amazing costumes and incredible special effects, including three-dimensional multimedia and multimillion dollar, state-of-the-art lighting, laser and sound systems. Tickets cost $30 to $40 each and can be purchased online.

24. Watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens and watch the Ball Drop on the Big Screen

Showcase Cinemas Warwick is showing the latest Star Wars movie with a New Year’s Eve twist. For only $20.16 per person, patrons can see the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens, enjoy a Champagne toast and dessert reception, and watch the ball drop live on the big screen! The movie begins at 9:05 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online.

25. Blaze Village Kitchen NYE Dinner and Party

Check out the new Blaze Village Kitchen at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket and ring in the New Year! Come for dinner and enjoy an a la carte menu that includes starter choices of butter-poached lobster and Bearnaise sauce over New Wave biscuits and gravy, filet mignon crostini, lobster bisque and arugula with scallop or pear and goat cheese salad. Entree choices include tamarind glazed rack of lamb, cherry glazed duck, seafood risotto or steak and eggs and adult s’mores for dessert. Blaze never forgets vegans or vegetarians. The vegan menu includes seared kale salad, risotto, smoked tofu lettuce wraps and pumpkin cheesecake with date walnut crust or vegan brownie sundae with strawberries and sorbet.
