Bryant University has rolled out the red carpet for its new mascot, twelve-week-old English bulldog puppy, Tupper II. Bryant’s previous mascot, another bulldog named Tupper, died unexpectedly in December.

Around 10:45 this morning, Tupper made his first official public appearance at a fifteen-minute reception held by the President of the University, Ronald Machtley and his wife. According to the news release, President Machtley stated that Tupper “has all the qualities and traits of the best damn bulldog in the country.” The dog will be cared for by Krupp Library Manager of Borrower Services, William Doughty and his family.
