Food Truck Friday is back in 2018 for the fourth season. End your week at Food Truck Friday at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Carousel Village with some of the best food trucks in Rhode Island brought to you PVD Food Truck Events.

Enjoy over fifteen locally owned food trucks and local beer from Trinity Brewhouse, wines from Gooseneck Vineyards while listening to live music. See the full list of food trucks attending at https://www.foodtrucksin.com/carousel.

Many activities for the kids! Ride the carousel for $2, jump in the bounce house for $3, take a ride on the carousel train for $3 and even ride a camel for only $6. Packages are available. We also have Hasbro’s Boundless Playground for the kids.

Picnic and high top tables are available on a limited basis so bring a chair or blanket, and sit on the lawn. Food Trucks accept cash, credit and debit. VIP experience is available for $85 and includes reserved seating for up to eight people, outdoors or indoors. Join Mayor James A. Diossa, and hundreds of people, for one of Central Falls’ greatest attractions, Salsa Night! This once-a-month event is coming back bigger than ever in its third year! Come enjoy a rotating lineup of food trucks provided by FoodTrucksIn, beer and wine from a local brewery, a photo station, a Snapchat Geofilter, and fun for all ages! There will be free salsa lessons, courtesy of Mambo Pa Ti, from 8-9 p.m.

Explore the private gardens at Sakonnet in Little Compton, open for self-guided tours and plant sales to benefit the Garden Conservancy, Sakonnet, and local wild meadow restoration efforts. This English-style cottage garden features a series of enchanting garden rooms. The acre-sized main woodland garden is subdivided into a series of fourteen spaces separated by high windbreak hedges and stone walls. The whole is described as an outdoor folly; each space has its own mood and horticultural objective. Memorial Day weekend should occur at the garden’s peak of spring bloom. Late tulips and hundreds of trilliums and other woodland wildflowers should be in flower. Blue poppies, blue camassias, the gaudy azalea hedge and rhododendron punchbowl, a confection of pinks and whites should be in full bloom. No reservations required; rain or shine. On Saturday, June 2, join United Methodist Elder Care for our annual “Adding Life to Years” gala, an evening to celebrate our purpose and passion of caring for residents living in our communities. The evening, with a cocktail reception, dinner program, auctions, and live entertainment, will be held at the Omni Providence Hotel.

We will be honoring Rich Gingras, founder of The Parkinson’s Place in Pawtucket, as our 2018 honoree. Exciting new initiatives will be unveiled during the evening’s programming and the Board of Trustees will make a much-anticipated special announcement.

Funds raised from the Gala will be used to support customized care, specialized medical and activity programs, and operational capital needed to serve the patient and resident population from independent living to long-term skilled nursing care.

Established in 1995 with funding from the Rhode Island Foundation, Connecting for Children and Families (CCF) is a community-based, non-profit organization located in Woonsocket, one of Rhode Island’s core urban cities. Our mission, to transform the lives of Woonsocket children through high quality educational opportunities and family support, is accomplished through strong community partnerships and advocacy.
