The sixty-eighth annual Rhode Island Home Show, the largest and longest-running exhibition of its kind in New England, is returning to the Rhode Island Convention Center on April 5 through 8. The 2018 show includes the return of the larger and improved second annual Spring Flower and Garden Show themed “Springtime Floral Fusion,” which will feature 10,000 square feet of gardens. Additional show features include a ten-room “Home Design Hub” with full kitchens and baths, a Home Technology Experience, the fifth Annual Energy Expo with a tour of the National Grid Energy Innovation Hub, the AARP Home Solutions Hub, the RI Living Resource Center, more than 300 exhibits, a home decor store, seminars and more. Show attendees can expect a unique marketplace and educational experience!
Each summer since 2007, the St. George’s School Ice Rink has been transformed into an upscale shopping venue during the Newport Antiques Show. It’s a weekend event that has become a high point for the social season and a not-to-be-missed opportunity for fine art aficionados.
In 2018, the Show will continue its reputation for luxury but it adopts a new name, The Newport Show, to better reflect its diverse roster of over 40 dealers. Attendees can again browse for antique furniture, fine art, jewelry and other unique vintage accessories, but they can also anticipate discovering a series of modern objects such as photographs and mid-century art.
This year marks The Newport Show’s 12th anniversary (previously the Newport Antiques Show). General admission to the event costs $15 for one day, or $20 for a two day pass; Gala Preview Party tickets start at $150. Tickets will be available to purchase online in spring 2018.
