Uncle Vanya @ The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre
Feb 17 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Uncle Vanya @ The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre | Pawtucket | Rhode Island | United States

On an over-crowded country estate, a retired art professor, his second wife, and the daughter and brother-in- law from his first marriage navigate mid-life crises, unrequited love, a last-minute murder plot…and each other. Delusion and despair compete with humor and hope in Chekhov’s beloved story about what is and what might have been. The Gamm is delighted to bring Trinity Rep Artistic Director Curt Columbus’ splendid interpretation of this timeless tragicomedy to our audiences.

“Columbus’s excellent, deft translation retains the dark comedy and flavor of Chekhov, while making it easily accessible to modern audiences.…This Uncle Vanya is enormously entertaining.” Windy City Times

Into the Breeches! @ Trinity Rep
Feb 17 @ 7:30 pm

By George Brant

Directed by Tyler Dobrowsky

Providence, 1942: Oberon Play House’s director and leading men are off at war. Determined to press on, the director’s wife sets out to produce an all-female version of Shakespeare’s Henry V, assembling an increasingly unexpected team united in desire, if not actual theater experience. Together they deliver a delightful celebration of collaboration and persistence when the show must go on! A surprisingly modern and moving comedy about the singular way art and community reveal our boldest selves even in the darkest times.

Othello @ Trinity Rep
Feb 17 @ 7:30 pm
Othello @ Trinity Rep | Providence | Rhode Island | United States

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Whitney White
Featuring Jude Sandy as Othello, Rebecca Gibel as Desdemona, and Stephen Thorne as Iago
Friendship and betrayal, love and jealousy. Once Othello’s most trusted confidante, Iago’s envy-fueled passions unleash a betrayal with catastrophic results for Othello and his beloved bride Desdemona. Shakespeare’s profound tragedy is an enduring story of race, love, envy, and repentance. This stripped down retelling is the portrait of an unraveling mind amid a society engulfing and destroying its very best.
