Castle Hill Inn serves a New England Thanksgiving buffet with chilled seafood appetizers, such as shrimp cocktail, followed by artisan cheese and antipasto, and entrees of herb-roasted Helger’s Farm turkey and roasted Black Angus strip loin with all the fixings. The chef’s cooking will highlight aspects of the fall harvest with the buffet, salads and traditional sides. Dessert includes pies, tarts and pastries. The Thanksgiving menu is offered from 12:30–6:30 p.m. and costs $78 for adults and $28 for children younger than twelve, plus tax and gratuity. Chapel Grille in Cranston is offering a special Thanksgiving menu for the occasion. From 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m., there will be an a la carte menu of soups, appetizers, pizzas, salads, pasta and a variety of entrees including roasted turkey with all the fixings, wood grilled baby lamb chops, seafood-stuffed sole, crispy Mediterranean salmon plus many other options. DeWolf Tavern is serving a four-course Thanksgiving feast for $50 per person and $20 for kids ages ten and younger. Dishes include a first-course choice of butternut squash, a second course of mesclun salad with balsamic dressing and shaved carrots, a third-course choice of roasted turkey, baked salmon, prime rib with traditional sides or a vegetarian plate with mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cornbread hash, black lentils, glazed carrots and cranberry chutney. Dessert includes a choice of pecan, pumpkin or apple pie or sticky toffee pudding. 5. Hotel Viking
The Hotel Viking in Newport has several Thanksgiving options including a prix fixe menu and grand buffet, and a takeout turkey menu. The grand buffet takes place from noon to 2 p.m., and includes soups, salads, a raw bar, carving stations and all of the traditional delights for $89 for adults, $34 for children and $79 for seniors. The Hotel Viking’s prix fixe menu will be served at One Bellevue from 4 to 9 p.m., and it includes all the classic Thanksgiving dishes, a local pumpkin soup starter, sea salted prime rib of beef and lobster ravioli entrées, and pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream to finish off the feast. India is open for Thanksgiving from noon. to 8 p.m., with three major food stations, including a buffet stocked with soups, salads, appetizers, curries, biryanis, Tandoori chicken and more, plus naan of your choice baked fresh to order and served at the table. The first Thanksgiving included seafood, so why not your family meal, too? Legal Seafoods in Warwick is hosting Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. with regular seafood items as well as a special turkey dinner with sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash and cranberry sauce. Mill’s Tavern is offering a prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu from noon to 7 p.m. with choices for $45 per person. The options include a first-course of either soup or salad, a second course of traditional carved maple cider brined turkey and a third course of a sorbet tasting, chocolate pecan pie or French apple cake. An a la carte turkey dinner is also available for $29.95. A kids turkey dinner will be available for $12. Celebrate Thanksgiving at Mirbeau Inn and Spa at the Pinehills in Plymouth, Massachusetts, only an hour from Providence. Guests can enjoy an elegant, three-course Thanksgiving dinner from noon–5 p.m. for $65 per person ($15 for children ages twelve and younger), plus tax and gratuity. The menu includes first-course choices of pan-roasted Brussels sprouts with Manchego cheese, New England clam chowder, grilled oysters, tomato tart and more; main course choices of turkey with all the fixings, pan-seared local cod with Parmesan risotto, a New York strip steak and more; plus, a fall dessert buffet. 11. Ocean House
A Thanksgiving Day buffet from 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. in the ballroom offers the comforts of a home-style feast featuring succulent roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes and all the fixings. Enjoy a variety of salad options, roasted butternut squash tortellini and roasted Brussels sprouts and much more; shrimp cocktail, oysters and more from the raw bar; traditional pies, tarts and baked bread for dessert. A children’s buffet will also be available for all ages which will include fruit salad, a turkey sandwich, pizza, chicken nuggets, maple glazed carrots and assorted desserts. Ocean House is also offering a Thanksgiving Dinner in COAST from 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. where chef Jennifer Backman and her team will craft a four-course spread which includes Baffoni Farms turkey, Atlantic white fish, Rhode Island mushrooms, Hudson Valley foie gras and much more. 12. Red Stripe
Red Stripe locations in Providence and East Greenwich are offering a special Thanksgiving menu for the occasion. Choose from butternut squash soup or a fall salad for the first course. The second course, served family style, will feature a roasted turkey, sweet potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, red bliss mashed potatoes and cornbread studding. Choose from pumpkin pie, chocolate bread pudding and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Dinner costs $29.95 per adult and $10.95 per child ages ten and younger, plus tax and gratuity. 13. Siena Catering
Let Siena put the food on the table this Thanksgiving. The restaurant is offering a catered package with all-natural Tuscan-rubbed turkey, cornbread with local honey butter, antipasto, Italian stuffing sausage, zucchini arrabiata, cranberry, balsamic and shallot compote, brown butter sweet potatoes and scratch pan gravy. All packages come with reheating instructions. The cost for a meal for six to eight people is $225, including a ten-pound turkey, and the cost for a meal for ten to twelve people is $350 with a sixteen-pound turkey. 14. The Abbey Grill
The Abbey Grill, located inside a former church in Fall River, Massachusetts, is hosting two buffet-style Thanksgiving seatings at noon and 3 p.m. The buffet includes salad, bread and butter, prime rib and turkey carving stations, baked potatoes, butternut squash, chefs vodka salsa roja and dessert, including pumpkin pie and apple blossom, plus coffee and tea. Children ages four to ten can choose between pasta with meatballs, chicken fingers and french fries or the Thanksgiving buffet. 15. Trattoria Zooma
Trattoria Zooma on Providence’s Federal Hill can host your family this holiday season for a Thanksgiving feast like no other. Spend quality time sitting around the table, family style, from noon–8 p.m. Don’t forget to order a house made pie. Choices include pumpkin, pecan and sweet potato. Pies cost $17. 16. Venice Restaurant at the Winnapaug Inn
Venice is offering an a la carte Thanksgiving menu from noon–6 p.m. as well as a family-style turkey dinner with all the trimmings served tableside (please call in advance). For the tableside option, you must have a minimum of four people, and the cost is $34 per person. The menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, green beans, herb stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and pumpkin pie. 17. Black Pear
Let Black Pear in Barrington do some of the holiday cooking for you. Order half-pan sized sides including smashed potatoes, honey roasted carrots, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, Seven Stars Bakery’s multigrain classic stuffing and more. Sauces include classic gravy, apple sauce and homestyle cranberry sauce and can be purchased for $7 per pint or $14 per quart. Black Pear is also offering bread selections from Olga’s Cup and Saucer and Seven Stars Bakery, as well as quiche including bacon and smoked gouda and kale and gruyere. Don’t forget dessert! Pastries such as cookies, maple nut scones, assorted pies, pumpkin pecan tarts and much more will be available for purchase. In celebration of the upcoming holiday, Easy Entertaining is offering a Thanksgiving Menu filled with sides, packages and desserts available for pickup, including roasted turkey from Johnston’s Baffoni’s Poultry Farm, southern sweet potato casserole and assorted Rhode Island grown veggies. Other specialties include roasted butternut mac ‘n’ cheese and homemade cranberry apple relish (made with local cranberries, of course). 19. Fork in the Road
While the turkey is cooking in the oven, allow Fork in the Road to provide all of your fixings this Thanksgiving. Choose from apple cranberry sauce, classic homemade stuffing, butternut squash gratin and autumn sprouts consisting of sautéed Brussels sprouts, crisp apples and dried cranberries topped with crumbled bacon and pecans. 21. Willow Tree
Willow Tree’s retail store in Attleboro is allowing customers to reserve farm-raised turkeys online and purchase dessert pies ranging from apple to chocolate cream. Available sides and appetizers include chicken dips and chicken salads, as well as house-made turkey gravy, the Cekala family bread stuffing, scratch-made cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Willow Tree also just introduced turkey pies before Thanksgiving for the first time.
Wright’s Dairy Farm in North Smithfield offers desserts including a pumpkin spice roll, flavored biscotti and pie varieties such as pecan, apple cream, coconut custard, chocolate cream, pumpkin, Toll House or blueberry. They also make sugar-free apple or blueberry pies. If you’re looking for something different, Wright’s also has a number of cookies and cakes, including am intense Killer chocolate torte. All Thanksgiving orders must be received before Thurs., Nov. 17, for pickup on Tues., Nov. 21 and Wed., Nov. 22. If you forgot to place an order by then, there will also be pies available in the store on a first-come, first-served basis. Choose from four varieties of oysters plus the new farm-raised littleneck clams. To place an order for Providence, fill out an order form. Oysters are sold in shares of twenty-five ($35), fifty ($65), or 100 ($100). Littlenecks are sold in shares of fifty ($40) or 100 ($75). If you need shucking tools, gloves are available for $5 and shucking knives for $15. Pickup will be Nov. 22 from 5–7 p.m. at 73 Harrison St. in Providence.
24. Feast and Fettle
Order everything but the turkey. Fixings include stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole with a pecan crumble topping, green bean casserole, salad, cranberry sauce and cornbread. Feast and Fettle is teaming up with Providence Pie Co. to deliver caramel apple, pecan, pumpkin and chocolate cream pies. Choose a serving size and have dinner and dessert delivered right to your door. Delivery will be available on Nov. 22 to the towns of Newport, Bristol, Warren, Barrington, Riverside, East Providence, Rumford, Providence, Pawtucket, Lincoln and East Greenwich only, or for pick-up at Hope and Main on Nov. 22.
