The Dish: 19 Spots for Easter Brunch

Skip the legwork and get your leg of lamb, quiche and honey baked ham somewhere else for a change.

Easter is hopping on in early and that leaves the hostess squirming for time. Why not eliminate the stress of planning and take the time to enjoy the family? We organized a whole spread of brunch choices featuring some of the best dining experiences throughout Rhode Island.

1. Rosecliff

Starting at 10 a.m. on March 26, the day before Easter, families will enjoy an egg hunt on the oceanfront lawn of Rosecliff followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. Later, guests will go inside to feast on a catered brunch in the historic mansion. Rhode Island author Joan Creamer will be back, signing copies of her children's book The Magic Sceptre: Reginald the Rabbit. 2. Duck and Bunny

The Duck and Bunny is now accepting reservations for Easter brunch. Parties of four or more can enjoy classic menu items, including a cocktail or juice, a choice of appetizer including a mandarin salad, cranberry apricot scone or parfait; and an entree choice of Portuguese sweet bread French toast with a maple berry compote, eggs Bun-a-Duck, various crepes, vegan carrot pancakes with vegan cream cheese glaze or the Duck and Bunny roll. 3. Eleven Forty Nine

Join Eleven Forty Nine in East Greenwich for an Easter feast as the restaurant will open for a breakfast and dinner buffet, which includes favorites such as a raw bar, fine desserts and many other eggcellent options. 4.  Ocean House

From 10 a.m.−4 p.m., guests can dig into an Easter brunch buffet in the Seaside Ballroom. Dine on brunch classics as well as chefs’ creative interpretations of sweet and savory flavors. Pianist Michael Campbell will perform during brunch. 5. Coast Guard House
