St. Paddy's Day Style
Don your best green gear and head to Smith Hill for an Irish heritage celebration.
Last week's early bird St. Patrick's Parade in Pawtucket felt a little too much like winter, but Providence's annual five-kilometer race and parade, scheduled for this Saturday, March 8, should be downright spring-like with temps in the high forties and clear skies all day. Now you have to go.
Grab a prime spot on Smith Hill and watch as scores of festively dressed paraders march by, from fife and drum corps to clowns in little cars to Irish step dancers to Rhody's own Big Nazo. Drawing a blank on how much green to don? Here's some style inspiration from last year's event:
The Details: March 8. Tour de Patrick race: 11 a.m. $35, T-shirt included. Parade: Noon. Free. Smith Street, Providence, providencestpatricksparade.org.
