Diner’s Update

It’s almost time to start thinking about spring vegetables. Urban Greens, a cooperative of Providence residents, businesses and food producers, continues to provide local and organic vegetables and other products to the West Side and be- yond. Affiliated with the Brown University Department of Environmental Studies, the co-op organizes orders from a catalogue of locally produced items and Associated Buyers, a New Hampshire-based distributor of bulk groceries and organic foods. The Indian Club is offering a “club special” appetizer selection of samo-sas, pakoras, aloo tikki (a cake of potatoes and peas) and chicken tikka (seasoned breast filet cooked over charcoal in the tandoor) and chicken tenders. Geppetto’s Pizzeria has an expanded children’s menu featuring macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders with fries, pizza, grilled cheese and other kid-friendly fare. Prices range from $3.95 to $6.95. 57 DePasquale Square, Providence, 270-3003.

Tacone Flavor Grill has opened in the Kingston Emporium. The Los Angeles-based franchise offers
