This month's adoptable pet is Brock, a spunky old boxer with lots of love to give.
Each month, RI Monthly highlights one adoptable pet in Rhode Island and hopes that they will find a new home.
On the Animal Rescue RI “Meet Our Animals” page, there is something that draws the eye to Brock’s photo. The eight-year old boxer-mix has a brindle coat and a cute under-bite; he’s good with cats and other dogs, neutered and up to date with his shots. According to the American Kennel Club, boxers are bright, energetic and playful. They are great with children, patient and enthusiastic, but also protective. They are intelligent problem solvers, although they can get bored if they aren’t stimulated and challenged enough.
But our friend Brock is one laid back dude, however, he’s happiest playing fetch and would spend the whole day with a tennis ball in his mouth.
Brock is being cared for by the Animal Rescue RI in Peace Dale. Established in 1938, ARRI is a no kill group dedicated to” the welfare and well-being of animals in need.” They rescue abandoned, abused and surrendered animals, and nurture them to be adopted as pets in loving homes. They receive no federal state or local funding and depend on private donations, fundraisers and grants.
