A Sense of Wonder chronicles her work to speak out on the terrible consequences of toxic chemicals in our environment, even as she herself was succumbing to cancer. Through her heroic testimony in the closing years of her life, she left an enduring public legacy that eventually took the form of the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and other landmark pieces of environmental legislation that have made our environment measurably cleaner and healthier.
