Gentian Garden Club Garden Tour

Date

Jun 2, 2012
9:00 am until 5:00 pm

Description

The Gentian Garden Club is sponsoring a garden tour on June 2, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rain or shine. The tour, "Gentian Gems", includes ten gardens that are truly special and have gem like qualities. This theme is captured by glass gem garden sculptures created by noted local artist Neal Drobnis especially for the tour. These unique pieces will be for sale that day. These private gardens have been designed, planted and maintained by their owners and it is an opportunity to view them along with the Gentian Wildflower Garden in historic North Scituate. Visitors will enjoy spectacular perennial borders, wildflower gardens, herb gardens, vegetable gardens, woodland gardens and beautifully landscaped properties.

Tickets are $25 and, and if ordered by May 15, 2012, will include a delicious box lunch. If you are not interested in the lunch the price is $20. To purchase tickets, please send a check payable to the Gentian Garden Club to Alyce Peddar, P.O. Box 464, Chepachet, RI 02814. Please include a self-addressed, stamped business envelope or else you can pick up your tickets the day of the tour at the North Scituate Community House located at 546 West Greenville Road. Boxed lunches can be picked up there along with your tour map. Tickets can be purchased there the day of the tour for $25 - without lunch. Do not miss this opportunity to experience nature’s beauty and bring home creative ideas and inspiration.
