| Description |
The seventh annual student-run and curated film festival takes place in collaboration with Roger Williams University. Highlights include: a Jewish Film Series sponsored by the Edwin S. Soforenko Foundation with the RWU Hillel, and a series of veteran programming. Every year the students who produce Roving Eye select a charity to support and solicit donations during the run of the event. This year the charity is the Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation selected in correspondence to the film The War on Terror: Coming Home. The foundation was created in response to the incredible outpouring of support Jeff’s family received after he was killed on Flight 11 in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Jeff Coombs Foundation was formed to assist families who are in financial need because of a death, illness or other situation that challenges the family budget. |
