Cinco de Mayo Block Party in Downcity Providence

Description	InDowncity Providence, Westminster Lofts, the Providence Rock ‘n' Roll Yard Sale, and Downcity merchants are partnering in celebration of springtime in Providence! Another season of outdoor events kick’s off with our second annual Cinco de Mayo Block Party. Westminster St. will be closed to cars, and filled with performers, activities, mexican food and beverages and local restaurants. Brown University’s Mariachi de Brown will be playing from 4 p.m.-5 p.m., and DJ Studebaker Hawk from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Bring the entire family! There will be complimentary crafts and games for children of all ages. Homestyle is offering arts and crafts, and Craftland artists are building their own pinatas for smashing. Joining the celebration just up the road, Aspire and Hotel Providence will be cooking up tasty treats in their courtyard. Local food truck favorites Poco Loco Tacos and Mijos Tacos will be providing an authentic food experience, along with a grille and bar from Tazza Caffe and Gracie’s. Cinco de Mayo dining doesn’t get much better than this offering
