Free Lecture: Do Brain Games Prevent Alzheimer's Disease?

On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in celebration of national Alzheimer’s Awareness month, the Alzheimer's Association/Rhode Island Chapter is holding its 13th Annual Brian R. Ott, M.D. Research Symposium at the Providence Marriot, One Orms Street, in Providence. Guest speaker is Peter J. Snyder, PhD, vice president for research at Lifespan and neurology professor at Brown University. Topic: “Brain Games for Protecting Brain Health.” Dr. Snyder will discuss the non-invasive lifestyle interventions and cognitive training tools that may protect the brain against dementia as adults age. Reception and refreshments at 6:00 pm, lecture at 6:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public; advance registration is required.
