Rhode Islanders are quirky. We like to know that the ocean, city and middle of nowhere are all about ten minutes away, but we really just want to stay home. Who can blame us? A little exploring plus chatting up real estate experts, local business people and others, confirmed what we already knew — this state is full of cool places to live, from up-and-coming city outskirts to classic villages worth every penny, plus those waterfront neighborhoods of our dreams.
