Southern New England Bridal Expo The Southern New England Bridal Expo, sponsored by Rhode Island Monthly’s BRIDE, took place Sunday, January 4, at the Rhode Island Convention Center. More than 600 eager brides-to-be sought information from vendors and entered to win a honeymoon to Barbados courtesy of Donovan Travel and Rhode Island Monthly’s BRIDE.

![]() | United Way Launches Fund to Prevent Homelessness in Rhode Island On January 12, United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI) launched their latest fundraising initiative, the United Way Fund to Prevent Homelessness in Rhode Island. One hundred percent of the funds raised will assist Rhode Islanders in need with making rent, mortgage and utilities payments. UWRI’s CEO and president, Anthony Maione, announced that UWRI will match contributions to the fund up to $100,000 through March 31. |
