Phil Goldman's monthly participatory storytelling series at Perishable Theater is not your five-year-old's story hour. Whether you decide to share a tale based around that evening's theme ("under the influence," "a stupid thing to do") or just listen, the power of the rather old-fashioned means of communication keeps devotees coming back week after week. Participation is open to everyone and (fair warning) those who do share generally take a no-holds-barred approach, which is often extended after hours into nearby watering holes.
