Goodbye sticky-sweet Polynesian drinks and tired chop suey. Kon brings Asian cuisine into the twenty-first century with pastel hues (sushi wrapped in pink nori), family entertainment (dancing shrimp on the hibachi) and food that's just plain delicious in any language. Joe Chen's Chinese-Japanese-Thai-fusion bistro does what few others have been able to: It masters several cuisines without giving up its individuality. It would be our favorite take-out place, but the interior's so cool that we can't seem to leave.
