Back in the Bug, Melissa was adamant we catch the sunset at The Chanler in Newport. Thank you, Melissa! Elegant but not stuffy, the bar adjoining the Spiced Pear restaurant brought us sweeping ocean views and the eponymous Spiced Pear cocktail, a rich blend of pear nectar and Grey Goose vodka. The bar menu changes seasonally, but you can always dig into the decadent Kobe beef burger ($26) made famous by GQ magazine.
